6-WEEK BEGINNER BASICS UKULELE SERIES

for students brand new to uke or any instrument, bring your own ukulele
this class will give you a solid foundation for making music on the uke.
we'll learn to read chord charts, play the most common chords,
learn three important strums, and we'll play a new song each week.

prerequisite: Beginner Basics class, or you must know how to read chord diagrams and how to play the island strum
In this class, we'll learn easy songs with 5 chords or less, including No Woman No Cry, Creep, Ring of Fire, My Girl, Riptide, Hallelujah, as well as class requests. Beginner through intermediate levels welcome, and I'll offer more challenging variations for those who want to move faster. We will review and "jam" songs every week to build our repertoire.

6-WEEK INTERMEDIATE UKE WORKSHOP
starting Wednesday Sept 9th 7:15-8:15pm at SHARED SF

prerequisite: another Intermediate workshop, or confirm with Cynthia if you're ready for this class
we will work on the skills that the group wants to work on - suggested topics include chord inversions up the fretboard, playing more challenging songs with difficult chords and rhythms, advanced strumming patterns
